The PAU Kisan Mela 2024 took place on September 13-14, 2024, at the Punjab Agricultural University main campus in Ludhiana. The event focused on agricultural technologies, new crop varieties, and sustainable practices, featuring over 350 stalls and live demonstrations on topics like straw management.

Theme: “Kudarati somey bachao, sab laiye khushali liyao” (Conserve natural resources, bring prosperity to all).
Exhibitions and demonstrations: PAU departments showcased new crop varieties, technologies, and management techniques through field demonstrations and exhibitions.

Straw management: Live demonstrations were conducted on machinery like the drone, super seeder, happy seeder, and chopper-cum-shredder to promote alternatives to burning paddy straw.
